NU CARE LAZISNU is dedicated to social welfare and community development, focusing on collecting and distributing Zakat, Infaq, Shadaqah, and Waqf (ZISWAF). Committed to optimizing charitable contributions through digital platforms, NU CARE focuses on five main areas: education, economic empowerment, healthcare, social and religious outreach, and environmental sustainability. Through this partnership, we aim to enhance these efforts, making them more efficient and impactful.
Enhance Membership Security and Donation Transparency
One of the key initiatives of this partnership is implementing a Decentralized Identity (DID) system for NU CARE members. This system will convert memberships into digital assets on the blockchain, offering enhanced security and trust. A digital platform will also be developed to manage and distribute ZISWAF donations, improving transparency and ensuring funds reach those in need effectively.
Efficient Remittances and Shariah-Compliant Innovation
The partnership will also facilitate the development of a remittance platform for Hajj and Umrah funds, streamlining the transfer process from Indonesia to Saudi Arabia. This initiative aims to make remittances more efficient and cost-effective for users. Furthermore, a Web3 Innovation Lab will be established to explore and develop blockchain-based solutions that adhere to Shariah principles. This lab will drive technological advancements within NU CARE, promoting innovation and ethical practices.
Promote Ethical Investment and Economic Empowerment
The collaboration will also focus on launching Shariah-compliant impact investing projects, providing ethical investment opportunities in microfinance and Shariah-compliant loans. These initiatives will promote economic empowerment and sustainability within the community.
